It is located about 100 kilometers south of Hanoi in Ninh Binh province. Tam Coc which means 3 caves, is a zone of Vietnam that meanders between rice paddies, bathed by the Ngo Dong River punctuated by karstic rock formations and limestone caves...Located on 2 limestone mountain ranges, the landscape of Cuc Phuong contains a wonderfully rich ecosystem. Magnificent Limestone Mountains rise up majestically from the green rice-terraces and traditional stilt houses of the Muong hill-tribe. Your equipment:
All travel luggage should be divided between a backpack worn by the travelers and a second sealed bag with padlock, transported by the logistics team on site (porters and/or vehicles).
Basic equipment:
- Breathable underwear (fast drying).
- A kind Polartec fleece jacket (if possible windbreaker) or Wind Pro (excellent weight / insulation).
- A waterproof and breathable jacket (Gore-Tex) in the bottom of the bag (only for the months of November to March).
- The pants trek.
- A cap or hat.
- Sun glasses (minimum index 3 and 4 for high mountain).
- A rain cape.
- A water bottle (or water bottle pocket, pipette).
Sleeping:
• From December to late March: good sleeping bag 0 ° C / - 5 ° C.
• In March, April and November: sleeping bag comfort temperature +10 ° C.
• From May to October: silk sleeping bag (a cloth down in fleece is sufficient).
- We provide mattresses and blankets on hand to light the night with the locals.
What to pack:
- A backpack with wide straps and an adjustable anatomical frame, with a capacity of 20-30 liters for your business day.

- A travel bag 80 to 100 liters, flexible. Depending on weather, luggage is transported by the day or by bike carriers. It is recommended, if you have the choice to carry a travel bag with shoulder strap for easy work if we use carriers rather than motorcycles, but do not make the acquisition purpose for this trip .

Tour Plan
7:30 a.m. Get picked up at your hotel in Hanoi and take 2,5 hour drive through the fertile land of the Red River Delta, you will arrive at Tam Coc boat operation place in Ninh Binh. On arrival, take 2-hour sampan boat ride on a small river and through 3 tunnel-like caves. (This area is considered as “Inland Halong Bay” featured with karst formations.) Get dropped off at Thanh station and take an easy walk to visit Thai Vi temple & continue on the walk through rice fields back to the center . 12:30 p.m. A Vietnamese lunch is served at a local restaurant. Afternoon 1.5-hour walk long the back roads through beautiful scenery of towering karsts on the ground of ponds, rice paddies and rural villages. ( we will have as many stops as you want to take photographs.) Visit Bich Dong Pagoda, an important religious place for the locals in the region. 4:00 p.m. Check in your hotel and relax for the remainder of the day.
