BRIEF ITINERARY
Day 1: KALAW – MYINT KA VILLAGE – TREKKING TO THE ELEPHANT CAMP

08:00 AM: Departure from your hotel in Kalaw. Start the trek through the lush pine forests.

10:30 AM: Arrive at Myint Ka Village. Explore the local lifestyle and enjoy a short break with seasonal fruits and local tea.

12:00 PM: Traditional Shan-style lunch served in the village or at a scenic viewpoint.

01:30 PM: Continue the descent through the valley toward the Elephant Conservation Camp.

Itinerary

Tour Plan
In the morning you will be picked up from your hotel in Kalaw and transferred to Myint Ka village where your trekking guide will be waiting. From here we trek around 2 hrs along mountain paths through seasonal cultivation.
Our trail leads to narrow valley descending 3-4 hours to the river valley and elephant camp. You will be served a picnic dinner on the way. After the jungle trek you will meet the elephants and their care takers, Mahouts by the river. The area surrounding the camp is evergreen forest with lots of different birds, butterflies and flowers.
You will have an opportunity to bathe and feed the elephants with guidance of their care takers. After feeding and a good bath you have a chance to take 30min elephant ride back to the camp headquarters. ( Taking the elephant ride depends on weather conditions and the health of the elephants). After light refreshment you will be transferred back to Kalaw by pick-up truck of the camp.
Within this day you will learn about the culture of the nearby villages get insight about nature conservation and the lives of the elephants. You can also be part of the conservation project by planting a new tree to the jungle conservation area.
