Tour Plan
You will be met by the Golden rekking Tours local guide and driver at your hotel in Sapa for a short road transfer heading northwards of Sapa along national road 4C to O Quy Ho. During this journey, there will be several stops for magnificent landscapes of Fansipan, Sin Chai valley and especially amazing flower and vegetable farms. After that, you will turn right to follow a narrow road for half an hour, getting through the wild region with thick rain-forest covering walled-up mountains, passing several waterfalls before arriving at Ban Khoang. This village is inhabited by the Red Zao ethnic people who live their unique way of life and well maintain their traditional values. The village looks prosperous thanks to the combination of wet rice cultivation on the terraced fields with cardamom farming under the shade of trees in thick forest. You will spend over an hour walking to explore this remote village for a brief understanding of local life.
After leaving Ban Khoang, you will continue along the road for about 10km to Ta Giang Phinh valley, inhabited by the Black Hmong people. The valley is home to some small villages that scatter along a peaceful stream. You will then enjoy an hour lunch break on the bank of the stream before walking along village paths that connect village to village, witnessing daily activities of local life such as ploughing and harrowing the fields, growing and harvesting crops, or doing some housework. In the leisure months, men often gather to build new houses or repair parts of old ones, while women stay home making their traditional costumes. The walk will end in mid-afternoon, and you will be picked up for the road ride back to Sapa.
