Overview
THE ULTIMATE EXPEDITION TO THE HEART OF CHIN STATE
Welcome to one of the last remaining frontiers of Southeast Asia. Our 5-Day Remote Mindat South-West Expedition is not just a tour; it is a deep dive into an ancient world that time seems to have forgotten. Nestled in the rugged mountains of Southern Chin State, Mindat offers a landscape of misty peaks, verdant valleys, and a culture that remains fiercely preserved.
This journey is designed for the intrepid traveler seeking more than just sightseeing. You will traverse the high-altitude terrain of the Chin Hills, reaching the elusive and majestic Hunters Falls, a hidden gem tucked away in the dense jungle. Beyond the natural wonders, the soul of this trip lies in the encounters with the local people. The Chin women, world-renowned for their intricate facial tattoos—each pattern representing a different tribe like the Munn, Magan, or Dai—welcome you into their homes with flute music played through the nose and stories of a bygone era.
Throughout these five days, you will trek through primary forests, cross traditional cane suspension bridges, and stay in remote villages like Hpwi and Am Laung. This is a land where the rhythm of life is dictated by the seasons and the spirits of the mountains. If you are looking to disconnect from the modern digital world and reconnect with nature and humanity in its rawest form, this remote Mindat expedition is your calling.
