Highlights

The 4-Day Trekking Tour to Mount Lung Cung offers a challenging yet rewarding adventure through the breathtaking landscapes of Mu Cang Chai in northern Vietnam. Known for its iconic terraced rice fields, remote villages, and majestic mountains, this trek takes you to the peak of Mount Lung Cung, one of the highest points in the region. Along the way, you’ll explore the beauty of the area, engage with local ethnic minority communities, and experience the authenticity of life in Vietnam’s rural heartland.

On the way down, we will descend the mountain to Che Cu Nha, near Mu Cang Chai Township, on the other side of the mountain. It is normally the case that the trek downhill is 1 hour less compared to that uphill. Accommodations on the tour are at a simple hotel for the first night and in a hut in the mountain on the second night, and at a homestay for the third night. Our local Hmong team will prepare necessary food and water for the meals on the trek. AdventureGreen also provides candies and biscuits… to help you with more energy. Important notes on what to bring and weather conditions are provided upon booking.

Tour Highlights:

  • Summit Mount Lung Cung: Hike to the summit of Mount Lung Cung, where you’ll be rewarded with panoramic views of Mu Cang Chai’s stunning valleys, terraced rice fields, and surrounding mountains. It’s a challenging climb, but the views from the top are worth every step.

  • Cultural Immersion in Remote Villages: Visit local villages inhabited by the Thai, H’mong, and Tay ethnic groups. Experience the traditional way of life, including agriculture, crafts, and local festivals, while learning about the culture and customs of these communities.

  • Stay in Traditional Homestays: Enjoy the hospitality of local families by staying in traditional homestays. This immersive experience provides a unique opportunity to connect with the people of the region and learn more about their daily lives.

  • Stunning Scenic Views: The trekking route will take you through lush forests, along rivers, and up to mountain ridges, offering continuous opportunities to enjoy the natural beauty of the Mu Cang Chai area.
